Today marks the beginning of the final week of the NFL preseason, meaning teams now have less than a week to finalize their 53-man rosters before the 6 p.m. Eastern deadline on Sunday. For the Bears, that deadline arriving so soon will throw an extra spotlight on not just their final week of preseason, but on Saturday’s 27-9 loss to the Bengals as well. Here are my thoughts on both what that loss taught us about the Bears’ final roster, and what to expect during Week 3 of the preseason.

There are now less than four weeks left until the Bears begin their 2026 regular season. But despite the very solid training camp they’ve had thus far, the Bears are still dealing with lots of injuries on both sides of the ball—and the lingering concerns that come with them. Of course, a lot can change for the Bears between now and Week 1 in Carolina. But for now, here are my thoughts on the current level of concern fans should have when it comes to the team's injuries.
